I don't know if anyone is like this, but I'm so ultra sensitive that I do not want to have friends and this appears to others that I don't care about anybody. The reason I don't want friends is because I know I'll avoid them when they start talking about hard times in their lives and feelings of sadness. This is not because I don't care about them and I don't want to help them, but because this will make me so affected that their own misfortunes would attach themselves to me and I'll probably feel even worse than them; of course avoiding them at these times would make me look cold-hearted. Hi. My husband and I decided to take 6 kids camping with us and 2 of them were mine. The rest were my nieces aged from 6-13. My kids Lizzy age 2 and Maddie age 4 and my nieces Alayna age 6, Nicole age 10, Jaymee age 11 and Britney age 13. I am 28 myself and my husband is 29. We decided since Alayna, Nicole and Jaymee haven't seen Britney since 2009 (Britney moved, but shes moved back into the area) we would take them all camping, BAD IDEA. Well lets start from the begining, we were packing up for 1 weeks trip. All of that food, blankets, pillows, toys etc. We filled up 2 cars with all that stuff (we took 3 total). So we get all packed up and leave. Now Britney has never been camping before. As soon as we got up there Nicole, Jaymee and Britney went to the bathroom and complained about how dirty it was and was recording on the phone saying "the camp store is cleaner than those bathrooms". Then they were talking in hillbilly voices (ANNOYING) and wouldnt shut up while me and my husband were trying to put up our trailer tent. They were singing very loudly with hillbilly voices. Then all the little kids were throwing fits because some couldnt sit by Britney and blah blah blah (They did this alot). Then they argued over who got the tenis racket (we only ahd 3) and the younger kids were screaming and crying because the older kids wouldnt give them turns. Then we let them take a walk on their own before dinner was ready (all together) and who-ever was the "brilliant one" and decided to teach the little kids to knock over port a pottys and chase golfcarts and it was raining too and i went to go look for them and they were going to the place where they tell you what activites there is to do that night (WE TOLD THEM BEFORE WHAT ACTIVITES THERE WAS) and i picked up the little kdis in my car there was no room for the big kids so i made them walk and (stalked them) to make sure they go back to the tent. Then we took them to the park and they were argueing over the teet or tot and my daughter got a splinter and it strated pouring it was horrible, Went back to the tent. Then Nicole wanted to sleep by Britneyy tonight (they stay upo and talk and giggle so NO). She has the biggest fit ever and cried and said "your not the boss of me" and "im not eating " and "my mom made me come on this trip i didnt want to i hate you" and she called her mom and asked to be picked up (Her mom refused to drive because the campsite was 2 1/2 hours away and it was 7pm). So then we ate dinner and they went to the creek now my 2 year old daughter was scared to walk in the water and Jaymee was holding her and asked help from Nicole and Britney but they just left them and went up more in the creek, that irratated me. Then they went to roast marshmellows and burnt everyone of them ON PURPOSE (the older kids im talking about) so it was in the fire. I yelled at them. So theyw ent into the camper. There bed was being help up by 2 steel rods and they jumped ON PURPOSE (they know not too) and one cracked so we yelled at them. Then we went to bed from 9pm-12:30am they were up ALL NIGHT (dont ask why i have NO IDEA they woke me and my husband up, we didnt have any sleeping pills either) shaking the camper, bouncing up and down, making fart noises, whispering, laughing, getting in and out of the camper being OBNOXIOUS (the OLDER kids not the younger ones). Then at 4:30am Nicole was yelling "lets gather around the campfire and sing our campfire song" in a hillbilly voice. I yelled at them to go to bed and this is never happening again and were leaving tomorrow. I turned the TV off at 1:00am so they were doing this in pitch blackness. The little kids were asleep the whole time NOT US. We yelled at them constantly but they didnt care. So the next day we got the lil ones up at 6am and ate breakfast and went golfing (mini golfing) and i dont know why i wasted the 10$ on the older kids cuz they were being smarta$$es and using their hands (video recording it) and going on seperate courses cuz they didnt wanna wait for the lil ones. They said to me in a hillbilly voice "wasnt that a great game of golf arnt we the best golfers" Then we went past a sign that said have a beary good day and theyre like "aunt zoey r u having a beary good day" and saying beary after EVERYTHING they said. Here's the problem: I moved into a completely different city, i'm a jr in high school, and I'm completely friendless. Here's how it all went down: See, my first day was yesterday, I didn't actually "start" school until 4th period. I don't mean to sound cocky, but at my old school I have always been part of the "in" crowd. I figured, if I played it right I could join this schools. We moved into a runt of a town, I imagined people would talk with a country accent and i'd be surrounded by idiotic hillbilly's. Well, I was wrong. See, I managed to make my way into 4th period pretty quickly. I figured I could sit there and watch the kids come in, scoping them out, getting used to all the cliques. Well, this girl comes in. Out of nowhere the punk dude behind me gets up and starts yelling her name, and the other 5 kids in the room all stand up and clap including the teacher (she had won the talent show the night before). When she saw me she tried to make her way towards me and say hi but I just rolled my eyes, she seemed pissed off. In the middle of class then, she blurts out: "where are max and ruby's parents??!?!?" 3 cute boys I had my eye on all laugh and I just smiled and rolled my eyes again (that's a habit me and my old friends did). After that the class had to split into groups. The 3 cute boys chose the girl and she invited me over. I would've sworn one of them was flirting with me. Except when the girl walked out, he grinned and said, "Woo, man, she's hot." The other two agreed and they complained about how she's taken. The boys wouldn't talk to me unless the girl did, I felt so humiliated. Except then one asked me why I rolled my eyes to much, then he said it was snobby. The girl asked me if she could borrow my pen, and not to be rude, but i'm very picky with lending my things so I said no. She just muttered back, "oh jeez," all sarcastically. Later at lunch I met up with a few girls and we started talking, I told them I was new and they told me I could sit with them. Well, at their table were the 3 guys and one of them said really loudly, "ah! it's the pen girl!" Obviously he had told everyone about it, but made me sound all bitchy in it. Some other guy randomly says, "our seats are all full." I ended up eating lunch at the office. Since that didnt go so well, I figure I could make it up in choir, as fate would have it, she's in there. And, she happens to be the favorite student. That didnt go so well either. After school I went to check out the soccer team and this really, and I mean, really, hot guy bumps into me and we start chatting. Well he basically welcomes me into the school and says that if I want to join the team I have to talk to the coach, he walked me over there. I was able to sit in during practice and I saw the cute boy, then I saw...her. They kept flirting with eachother and it turns out he's her boyfriend! Worst. Day. Ever. See, I figured she must be a good person if she's friends with literally every clique in school, and have a very nice boyfriend. But i've made the wrong impression on her, any way I can get her to change hermind about me?

I am from western North Carolina very close to the Tennessee sate line. I have a very thick Appalachian accent, and all my life I've been put down and poked fun at. I think it's really a cultural thing. Some people are surrounded by religion from birth, and the way people are raised in relation to religion can make them unable to understand others' beliefs. Not true in every case, however. Atheists and agnostis can be sensitive to one religious person's judgement, and make generalizations about all religious people. Not all believers think that about nonbelievers. I am agnostic and have plenty of religious friends- Christian, Muslim, Jewish, you name it. It's all about co-exisiting.

9 days without smoking!!!! Help....?

I've been a ten a day smoker for the last 16 yrs and I've been wanting to quit for awhile now so 10 days ago I smoked my last cigarette and haven't touched one since! Help with first foster dog?

I'm currently fostering a 6-9month-old shepherd mix for a little over two weeks now. Her biggest issue is that she cries every night when I put her in the crate. Everyone ignores her while she's crying, but during the day I've been training her to have a positive association with the crate with treats. Hasn't worked. I gave her a frozen-peanut butter-stuffed kong to keep busy. Didn't work. I gave her a raw meaty bone, still cried. I put toys in there also, but that's another issue. I bought an assortment of different toys (Nylabone, treat ball, sqeauky toys, etc) and she doesn't wanna play with any of them. I don't think she "gets" them. I demonstrated in front of her with my dog what she's suppose to do with them, but she still hasn't wanted to play. She also chews things up & I've been trying to re-direct her chewing to the toys, but she just stares at the toy like "what's that for?" Anyone have any pearls of wisdom? Training advice? Can we buy an RV and live in it 100% of the time and claim it as our first home on taxes?

My wife and I just fond out that we need to move, in two (2) months, out of the home we've been renting for 3 yrs because the owners main house is bring foreclosed upon and they want to move in to the one we are in. We have been getting our finances and credit in order to buy a first home of our own this year but wont be ready for another 6month or so. We have been considering strongly of buying an RV as our first home in the interim, and living in it at a local trailer park until we can buy a permanent home. With the added financial liability this puts on my credit, I assume that it will extend the amount of time it will take us to purchase a home.. my question is: Can the RV be our 1st home (tax question) and the space rental payments deducted somehow? ... and the permanent home we purchase (hopefully before the end of this year) be our second home in regards to tax purposes? (we are trying minimize the # of times we move and since we want an RV anyway, our thought is that this would be an easier process... Any opinions/suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm a landlord, and I'm still a virgin regarding the wanton ways of money. I just signed a tenancy agreement and gave a copy to the tenant WITHOUT having received any form of payment yet (not even the deposit). Thankfully I didn't give the house keys. A Question About An Accent?

As a native speaker of English, I know many will disagree with me, but I think accents are colorful and beautiful. They sound more authentic. However, to foreign speakers, it may be somewhat annoying because they find it hard to understand. I speak German, but Swiss or Bavarian Germans are very hard to understand even when they speak slowly with their dialect. And having to ask someone to repeat every sentence three or four times is very annoying.

Xrays over time in general will cause cancer. It takes 10 or so years. But. it will catch up to you. No one in the Medical establishment cares how exposed a person is to radiation. Nor do they want you to know how much is too much Or.. how much they give to you. They just don't want to study this further or to protect the consumer.. because it is a huge...huge..money maker. People get Xrays all the time. Also.. if possible only get ultra sounds.. they cause no cancer. Insurance does not want to pay. You may have to pay cash..but its worth the cost out of pocket vs.. getting cancer later. Yes.. the docs will tell you that ultra sounds won't show everything. Then.. I don't get it. I am the one who is responsible of managing my own health and body.. not the doctors who are making huge huge profits. The GYN can also take ultra sounds of your ovaries and do a pelvic ultra sound. They don't have to give pap smears in the barbaric way they once did. Its humiliating and they don't have to. Again.. you may have to pay cash out of pocket. But.. it won't give you cancer if you do.

Nobody's my friend. Every time I log into Facebook and I see pics of people having a good time with their friends, girls looking beautiful and nice guys with their arms around their shoulders, I think to myself, "I'm not welcome with them." The people in those photos do not hold me in the same regard as they do for others around them. Even if they show me kindness, it's really only at a superficial level. They oftentimes don't answer my messages, and I usually assume it's because they're not interested in talking to me. Every time I see a girl I find attractive, I think to myself, "She's not going to like me." Princeton Review pre-test?

Tomorrow I begin SAT review classes, and it starts with a 4 hour pre-test on a Saturday morning. (Yay). Now, I have not prepared for this in any way, shape or form, because, after all, that's what I'm paying them to do. However, I have no doubt that the results of this pre-test will be used as a comparison to the final result to demonstrate my INCREDIBLY improvement as per their improvement guarantee. Obviously no preparation compared to a month of preparation is going to result in vastly different results. So this leads me to my question, should I do some quick studying, and will they actually use the pre-test?

When my brother was younger, he was EXACTLY like that. We tried everything, we took him to a behaviorist, and it helped little. When he was about four, we discovered he had an EXTREME interest in the presidents. (Like where they were from, important things they did, stuff like that.) We then went to the book store and bought a couple of books on them, and also got some kid movies we found. Every night, we would all sit as a family and do something with the presidents, but only if my brother had behaved himself that day. By the time we had been doing this a couple of months, he could recite the presidents in order, he knew what the Emancipation Proclamation was, and could tell you endless facts about them. He had now found a reason to behave himself. He is now eight, and we have found his outburst are getting more rare, he still enjoys the presidents, but has other interest too, all revolving around history. So my advice to you is just try to find something she enjoys, and spend some quality time with her. Maybe it will help her like it did my brother.
