Question regarding ties in whist (or bridge for that matter)?

In a game of whist, or bridge probably, as they are so similar, when, in the middle of play, there are no trump suite cards played during a trick, and two different suites with the same rank are played by different teams, who wins the trick? For example, say that clubs is trump. The winner of the last hand plays a queen of diamonds. The other two players play a five of spades and a six of diamonds respectively, as they do not have any diamonds. I decide to play a queen of spades, as I too do not have diamonds. Who would win the trick? Thank you.
