How long does it take to pull my adult tooth forward filling gap while still having braces?

I have a babytooth that never fell out and the adult tooth grew in behind it I'm freaking out because the tooth is in the front of my mouth and I dnt wanna look all hillbilly with a missing tooth especially before graduation the braces are fine an all I jus heard it only takes a month to actually pull it forward is that true?
