Can you receive court papers while in Army Basic Combat Training?

My son's friend just recently went to Army Basic Combat Training. His daughter's mother (they aren't together, he's re-married) was wondering about how she can send him court papers regarding the case with their child. She said the court is sending her a bunch of papers that he needs to sign.
