In the caption “a dog's bone”, I realise that ‘a’, ‘dog’, & ‘bone’ are words, but is “dog’s” a unique word?

I used spelt once in Microsoft Word it underlined it as incorrect. Dog's would be a posessive noun, meaning belonging to the dog.
